Kinako Crunch: A Delicious Solution for Better Nutrition

Developed by students at Prince of Peace Integrated School (PPIS) in the Philippines, Kinako Crunch is a shelf-stable, nutrient-rich snack that reimagines emergency food aid. Combining sustainability with flavor, this innovative product offers a practical solution for communities facing food insecurity.​ Kinako Crunch's impact was recognized with a $3,000 Sustainability Award from the 2025 Ciena Solutions Challenge, a global initiative that celebrates student-led projects addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
